The club of Spirou Charleroi, also known as Spirou Basket, is a professional basketball club from Charleroi Belgium currently competing in the BNXT League which is the highest first tier in both the Dutch and Belgian system. Founded in 1989 and named after the famous Belgian c omic magazine Spirou, the club is an emblematic one in Belgium that has won the Belgian League championship ten times, the Belgian Cup 5 times, and the Belgian Supercup 7 times.
With the NextGen, Spirou Charleroi has built its very own training center and thus clearly chose to focus on developing Belgium’s next big talents inhouse.
